Don't for a minute think talking snails represent our only cinematic trip to the racetrack this year. Ron Howard's film Rush is set to hit theaters September 27th, having just today had its release date pushed back from September 13th. The film stars Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers) and Daniel Bruhl (Inglourious Basterds) as real life drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda respectively. The film, written by Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon), details their famed rivalry both on and off the track.
Today, the third trailer for Rush has been unveiled. While there are some really great editing tricks employed, as well as some great music choices, the biggest problem with this trailer is that it is way too long and basically runs through the film plot point by plot point. Obviously, I could be wrong, having not seen the film, but then again I no longer feel like I need to see it as the trailer appears to chart every beat of the story. If spoilers aren't a major concern for you, take a gander at the trailer and tell us whether or not you agree that it gives away too much.
