Under-the-radar actor had an extremely busy 2012, appearing in no less than three blockbuster movies (Lincoln, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey). Not bad for an actor who still manages to maintain a low-key profile while finding Hollywood success.
It looks like his 2013 will be no less busy, with Deadline reporting that Pace has just signed on to join the AMC pilot, Halt & Catch Fire. Pace will be playing Joe MacMillan, a confident and powerful visionary of his time.
Along with Pace, is also joining the pilot in the role of Cameron Howe, a programming whiz and prodigy who nonetheless has a troubled and aggressive personality.
From the Deadline article:
Set in the early 1980s, Halt & Catch Fire dramatizes the personal computing boom through the eyes of a visionary, an engineer and a prodigy whose innovations directly confront the corporate behemoths of the time. Their personal and professional partnership will be challenged by greed and ego while charting the changing culture in Texas’ Silicon Prairie.
No word on when the pilot will air, but is set to direct.
