This article contains spoilers from Legends Of Tomorrow Season 2, Episode 15, "Fellowship Of The Spear."
All season long on Legends Of Tomorrow, the Legends have been chasing the pieces of the Spear of Destiny, hoping to keep it out of the Legion of Doom's hands. This week's installment, "Fellowship Of The Spear,"saw them do just that as they managed to retrieve the final piece of the Spear, unite it as one and keep it safe from the Legion.
However, when trying to destroy it, they hit a major snag: their former teammate Captain Cold returned from the dead and convinced Mick to join the Legion. And in betraying his team, Heat Wave helped the Legion take back the Spear — and they subsequently used it to rewrite their own fate.

As the trailer for next week's episode reveals, there are some major changes set for the Legends. In what certainly looks like it should be titled "Damien's Angels," the episode sees Sara and Amaya become henchwomen for Damien Darhk. Meanwhile Ray Palmer becomes a janitor, Jax appears to become a business tycoon who yells at Stein, and we're not quite sure about what the rest are up to.
But with this brave new world — and the appropriate episode title of "Doomworld" — we have to wonder if Mick will save his former teammates.
Redemption For Heat Wave?
Mick Rory has certainly come a long way. Starting out on #TheFlash as pyromaniac Heat Wave, he still loves to roast his opponents — the only difference is that he's on the right side. While he did falter and become the evil Chronos in Season 1, the second season has seen him grow even more as a character.
Mick had become less of a one-dimensional super-criminal and actually bonded with his fellow #superheroes. Moreover, the death of his friend and partner Captain Cold ensured that he became even more heroic when fighting time criminals.
However, the return of Captain Cold forced him to abandon his teammates and realign himself with the dark side. And now that they've used the Spear of Destiny, it's likely that Mick will have a better life. But based on the trailer for "Doomworld," it looks like Mick intends on ending this season exactly as he started it, by helping Dr. Heywood reunite the Legends.
Having gone from villain to hero — and back again — reuniting the Legends will be Mick's chance to achieve ultimate redemption.

Once A Rogue, Always A Rogue
One of Mick's main motivations for betraying his teammates came down to the fact that he didn't think they saw him as an equal. He was bothered by how they still secretly saw him as a villain instead of a hero. And even though he attempts to help them in the upcoming episode, we have to wonder, could he betray them all over again?
As he wielded the Spear of Destiny, Rory will likely have been blessed with a better life, free from the fates dealt to him. Furthermore, his best friend Leonard Snart is once again part of his life. Thus, perhaps the former supervillain may question where his loyalties truly lie.
After all, the season finale of Legends is in sight, and we have no idea who will be coming back next season. With Snart's sudden return to the timeline, and the recent revelation that he Flash will not feature a speedster villain next season, there's a strong possibility that Snart and Rory could reunite, with the Rogues becoming the scarlet speedster's big bad next season.
While Mick betrayed his team and helped the Legion of Doom use the Spear of Destiny, he is now apparently a living a better life because of it. But as next week's episode suggests, he will indeed try to redeem himself by saving the Legends from their new realities. Despite that, his actions this week certainly made us question whether or not Mick has a future aboard the Waverider, or as one of the Rogues.
As he has become this season's strongest character, I certainly hope we'll be seeing Heat Wave on Legends Of Tomorrow for a long time to come.
