and have been cast to star in a new bank heist comedy called Masterminds. This announcement comes right after Warner Brother decided to pass on a Dumb and Dumber To sequel and a disappointing opening weekend for The Internship. Can revive his career with the help of ? Or are they both box office poison?

Carrey's latest film The Incredible Burt Wonderstone was a box office disaster (22 million gross), however, Carrey delivered an excellent performance. In the last ten years since Bruce Almighty only three of Carrey's films have grossed over 30 million opening weekend and they weren't exactly classic Jim Carrey comedies: Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004), Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears A Who! (2008) and A Christmas Carol (2009)

As for he has had several films earn more than 30 million opening weekend in the last five years: Marley and Me (2008), Night At The Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009), Little Fockers (2010) and Cars 2 (2011).

I think they can pull it off and will bring in a younger generation of fans! Directing the duo in Masterminds will be Napoleon Dynamite director and he may be exactly what Carrey and Wilson need.
