We forget that celebrities are just like us, and they sometimes want to have fun and geek out at comic conventions in peace just like the rest of us. But when your face is easy to recognize in a crowd, it becomes trickier for celebrities to enjoy these big events without being stopped by an adoring fan or press photographer everywhere they go. Luckily, Comic-Con is the perfect place for celebs to go incognito without anyone, fans or press, realizing they may have just taken a selfie with a major star, like actress Lupita Nyong'o.

The Academy Award winner and actress morphed into the Pink Power Ranger, as a way of walking the convention floor during San Diego Comic-Con weekend undisturbed. Anyone who encountered Nyong'o that weekend would have had no idea it was the star underneath the mask, if it wasn't for a video she posted to her Twitter account:

The video shows Nyong'o adorably dancing around the convention and thoroughly having the time of her life. She's even seen posing for pictures with other unsuspecting attendees in cosplay.

Nyong'o isn't the only celebrity who managed to attend Comic-Con as a regular fan. Other celebrities, including Jared Leto, Daniel Radcliffe and Mark Ruffalo have donned disguises in the past to draw attention away from their famous faces:

Jared Leto

The Suicide Squad actor is seen posing with his Joker alter ego while wearing a Rafiki mask from The Lion King during New York Comic Con in 2015. Based on Leto's caption, I'm sure this lucky fan would have freaked out had he realized he was taking a picture with the man who played the Joker.

Daniel Radcliffe

The Harry Potter star famously walked the San Diego Comic-Con floor in 2014 as Spider-Man, and no one had any clue. In an interview with MTV, Radcliffe said it was his first time attending Comic-Con and wanted to be able to walk around without drawing attention to himself. Spider-Man turned out to be the perfect disguise for Radcliffe.

Mark Ruffalo

Even actor Mark Ruffalo couldn't resist hiding behind a mask to enjoy New York Comic Con in 2015! Although, it's difficult to say who Ruffalo was cosplaying as that day.

However, not every celebrity has cosplayed unnoticed. Arrow actor John Barrowman is probably one of the biggest celebrity geeks to make continued appearances at the conventions, and always brings his cosplay A-game. Check out the three different cosplays Barrowman wore for Comic-Con in 2016:

And who could forget Barrowman simply looking smashing in a Doctor Who TARDIS dress at this year's event?

You really never know who you'll bump into at these conventions!

What do you think of Lupita Nyong'o's Pink Ranger at Comic-Con?
