Thanos is arriving on Earth to bring chaos to the Avengers and get his precious Infinity Stones in . The superhero epic was first expected to be a two-parter but that changed and it's now a single movie, with an as-yet-untitled Avengers sequel to follow. Since that surprising announcement, fans have been eagerly awaiting for someone involved with the production to spill the beans. Well now, someone did, and it was none other than Maria Hill herself, Cobie Smulders.

During an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote her upcoming movie, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, Cobie was asked to spill beans on Infinity War... you're biting your nails to know what she said, aren't you? Well, in this case "spilling the beans" doesn't mean releasing information. Jimmy Kimmel asked her to literally spill a can of beans on an Infinity War poster.

After doing it and saying, "That was everything," Jimmy Kimmel said:

"When we post that story online, the stories that link to it will say the following words: 'Cobie Smulders Spills The Beans on Avengers: Infinity War - And It Was Everything!' We're about to get a billion views on YouTube!"

Okay, now that we got the joke out of the way...

Is There More To This Interview?

There's something very interesting to take from this segment. When it was just starting, Kimmel told Cobie "Of course, you're in the Avengers movies." That could be taken as an innocent joke due to her participation in the superhero saga but what catches my attention is why they would have the gag about Infinity War with Cobie in particular?

They could have waited for an interview with other actors who we know will be in the movie, so, was this Marvel's fun little way of confirming Maria Hill's return to the franchise to help the Avengers in their toughest fight yet? Considering her appearance in both previous Avengers films but her notable absence in Captain America: Civil War, Cobie reprising her role in the next one would be amazing, as the main, original S.H.I.E.L.D. crew would band together once again.

Let's keep in mind that if she comes back for the film, it doesn't mean we won't see her pop up in other corners of the MCU.

What S.H.I.E.L.D.-related characters (if any) do you think will return for Avengers: Infinity War?
