We can all agree that 2017 didn't get off to a fabulous start for pop diva Mariah Carey, who was forced to shimmy around in front of millions as her entire production came crashing down around her at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. During the disastrous performance, Mimi looked pissed AF as she tried to continue a set riddled with some serious sound problems. Need a reminder? Creep into the awkwardness of the clip below:

From the moment she realized she had a faulty earpiece and couldn't hear anything, poor Mariah's efforts to plough through were futile. And after she finally left the stage, it was up to her managers to unleash a tirade of accusations that the production company had intentionally sabotaged the event in order to seek a "viral moment."

See more:

Almost two months on, and it appears that there is no end in sight to this debacle. Just the other day, in an interview with Rolling Stone, Mariah addressed her NYE performance once again and in the process, basically blamed everyone and everything for the colossal Times Square shit show that occurred. She said:

"I used to get upset by things. This was out of my control, and had everything not been such a total chaotic mess, then I would have been able to make something happen. Even the dancers should have stopped dancing and helped me off the f--king stage. I'm sorry. It was a mess, and I blame everybody, and I blame myself for not leaving after rehearsal."

She then added that at the end of the day, people will struggle to understand what went down because they're not from her world and all they can really do is move past it. She explained it like this:

"It's just something where if I can't explain it to the entire world, then they're not going to understand it, because it's not what they do. Just like I wouldn't understand somebody who had a desk job and how to do that. I couldn't. I literally am incapable of being in the real world and surviving."

Girl, you just keep living that sweet, sweet fantasy!

Is Mariah Carey the most fabulous diva there is — yes or no?
