Mark Ruffalo is probably the most active Avenger on social media. That being said, being too active on social media can come back to haunt you.
That's exactly what happened to Ruffalo last week when he accidentally streamed the first 10-15 minutes of Thor: Ragnarok live on Instagram. He might have gotten yelled at by Marvel Studios, but that didn't stop the fans from laughing at the whole situation. Even Ruffalo's #InfinityWar co-star Tom Holland, who himself is just the worst at keeping secrets, poked fun at Ruffalo on Twitter:
There had been no official response from Ruffalo following the incident until his visit to Australia to promote the film. In an interview with Australia's Channel 10, when asked about leaking the audio, Ruffalo revealed:
"I don't know what happened to me that night. I thought I shut it off. They asked me to Instagram Live the backstage stuff that night. Marvel asked me to do that. I never did Instagram Live! I don’t know how this sh-t works."
Ruffalo continued to recall that night:
"So I did and I shot it, and they're like 'Okay, get to your seat! Hurry!' And I push the button, as, like, you push a button and its supposed to stop. But you have to push two buttons. So I push one button and I put it in my pocket and I'm sitting there six minutes into the movie and then a woman ... a woman that I don't even know comes and she pokes me and she's like, 'Take your phone off! Your Instagram Live is still on! It’s broadcasting the whole movie!'"
Ruffalo was all animated while describing how things transpired that night which made it even funnier. Watch the interview below:
We hope that Marvel forgives Ruffalo for his honest mistake, because it's impossible to imagine anyone else playing Bruce Banner other than Ruffalo. (Sorry, Ed Norton.)
