The DCEU is on a roll with their recent character castings and movie announcements. Now, Screen Rant dropped another bombshell about Megan Fox's possible role as Poison Ivy in the newly titled, Gotham City Sirens. Take a look at what they posted on their Twitter account:
Let's take all of this in. We have our Ocean Master (Patrick William), our Deadshot solo and the #GothamCitySirens film, a director for the latter, and now this rumor? Just last week there was Armie Hammer Twitter trolling that he was becoming a part of the DCEU. Prior to that, André Gordon announced his possible casting as John Stewart. What could a little rumor like this do for us now that we're slightly overwhelmed? Well, a whole lot actually.
Megan Becoming Ivy
Poison Ivy is known to be a "partner in crime" with #HarleyQuinn. In the comics the two were actually roommates, along with #Catwoman. The Sirens film may or may not touch on that backstory, since it'll be filled with a few more of their popular women. As of now, finding other actresses with high profiles like Robbie would actually aid the film. Right now, it's just a matter of if (or when) #WarnerBros will confirm the rumor.
Megan Fox is known for the role in the first two Transformer films. She is now cast as April in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, again, taking over the role of a red-haired character. She has previously held a role in DC's theatrical version, Jonah Hex, portraying Tallulah Black, so it wouldn't be her first rodeo with DC.

Why Cast Now?
Well, the DCEU has been on a roll with building their universe. News of The Batman filming in the Spring landed across the internet today with a 2018 release year. #MeganFox could, possibly, just maybe, have the role of #PoisonIvy, so they could aim to release the film sometime in 2018. Maybe even the year after.
Even if the rumor about Fox is just that, a rumor, still prepare for more announcements from the #DCEU, and don't forget that Geoff Johns, Armie Hammer and Joe Manganiello are up to something.
If she does land the role of Ivy, let's hope that Fox can channel some of the sultry seduction that we saw her display with Amanda Seyfried in Jennifer's Body:
Are you fine with Megan Fox as Poison Ivy?
