With The Walking Dead Season 4 is now in full swing we're being introduced to a whole new bunch of zombie fodder, although that doesn't mean we won't be seeing some familiar faces along the way. For example, official AMC photographer Gene Page recently posted up a picture of on the set of The Walking Dead Season 4.
Now of course, Rooker played everyone's favorite racist zombie killer, Merle Dixon, in three seasons of AMC's hit show, but does this picture suggest he'll return for the fourth? Take a look below:
Well... probably not, hey? Sure, The Walking Dead has been known to reintroduce departed characters - of course there was ghost Lori and Merle's own hallucinogenic appearances in Season 2 — but I think it's fair to say Rooker was just dropping by for a set visit.
The scene being filmed in this photo appears to be from the premiere episode of Season 4, which did not feature Merle Dixon. Regardless, it's nice to see the camaraderie between TWD cast members.
Indeed, in a recent interview with Digital Spy, Rooker downplayed the possibility of making another comeback:
You know what, I died two times in one episode! So as far as I know, I am dead... and there's nothing I can do about it. I don't think they're going to go back and relive that. I think they're busy doing their own thing going forward.
But what do you think? Would you like to see Merle return in some unorthodox manner? Why don't you let us know below.
