Without a doubt, one of the most adored characters from Netflix's hit series Stranger Things is the telekinetic, troubled protagonist known as Eleven. With her shaved head, hospital gown, tattered pink dress and bloody nose, poor "El" went through a lot in those eight episodes, and we can only imagine what awaits her when Stranger Things 2 debuts in a matter of months.
However, when actress Millie Bobby Brown attended the #TeenChoiceAwards on Sunday night, let's just say that Eleven was looking a little bit different. The young actress was nominated for Choice Breakout TV Star at the awards ceremony, and although she didn't win, she certainly had the world talking, with some fans pointing out how different she looked in real life. Check out her stylish look below:
With her now longer hair tied back, the 13-year-old star wore a long yellow dress, accompanied with some killer heels. And somehow, she managed to pull off a cool pair of shades better than any of us could ever dream of doing. Literally glowing, this bright and pretty ensemble was a far cry from Eleven's gritty appearance on #StrangerThings. And this, in many ways, just highlights how convincingly Brown played the role.
The actress was acclaimed for her performance on the hit show and has been honored with an #Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She is also set to make her feature film debut in upcoming #Godzilla sequel, Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.
So I think it's safe to say, the dress isn't the only thing that's bright for Millie Bobby Brown. And while Eleven may have looked strikingly different at the Teen Choice Awards, we have a feeling that Mike Wheeler will still find his "El" pretty, "really pretty".
Stranger Than Fashion
Millie Bobby Brown proved that she knows exactly how to pull off stylish, but this isn't the first time that the kids of Stranger Things have scrubbed up even better than their on-screen counterparts. Let's take a look at some of the times that Mike, Dustin, Lucas and Eleven showed us their inner fashion icons.
Golden Globe Awards 2017
The Stranger Things young'uns attended the Golden Globes earlier this year and behaved like the coolest kids possible, taking selfies with countless celebrities. But it was their style at the event (and the after party) that really stole the show. Not only had stars Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp grown up a lot in a few months, they scrubbed up really well in suits. Meanwhile Millie Bobby Brown looked stunning in her dress, with her longer hair on display.
Don't Mike and Eleven look adorable here:
Emmy Awards 2016
Eleven, Dustin and Lucas represented the show at the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards last year as they took to the stage to perform an incredibly fun rendition of "Uptown Funk." And they did in style, with the boys wearing suits, bow-ties and patterned waistcoats while Millie wore a funky long black dress with birds spread across it. Check out the talented kids' unforgettable performance below:
Screen Actors Guild Awards 2017
Stranger Things' win at the Screen Actors Guild Awards may be forever immortalised due to Winona Ryder's hilarious facial expressions, but we can't forget about just how well the cast looked for the occasion. Wolfhard, Matarazzo and McLaughlin all looked very dashing with their altering colored tuxedos while Millie Bobby Brown stole the show in her long, red dress and quirky hairband.
While the young characters of Stranger Things may be forced into incredibly grubby situations in the series, there's no doubt about it: The cast knows exactly how to dress for special occasions. Never failing to steal the show with their smart and stylish outfits, Millie Bobby Brown and the rest of the gang have incredibly bright futures ahead of them. And we can rest assured knowing that when they win some well and truly deserved awards in the future, they'll look great while doing it.
