The animation used to create the water and hair in Disney's Moana is some of the most stunning animated ever seen in cinema, with the footage looking as close to real as animation could possible get.

But as realistic as the animated was, there was still no mistaking the film as anything other than animated, and with Disney currently adapting many of its animated classics into live-action, we can't help but wonder what the inevitable live-action adaptation of Moana might look like.

Seeing both the human, animal and demi-god characters of Moana brought to life would be obviously be a huge thrill, and recently Finnish illustrator, Jirka Vinse Jonatan Väätäinen has given us a glimpse at a real life Moana:

Pretty stunning right?

Of course, Moana voice actress, Auli'i Cravalho would be the obvious choice to play the real life version of our Polynesian princess. I mean, just take a look at this resemblance:

Of course if a live-action Moana was ever made, it's unlikely it would be in the next few years. However, we can live in hope that one day we'll eventually see a real life version of Moana, Maui and, of course, ridiculous chicken, Heihei.

Moana is in cinemas now!

Would you like to see a live-action Moana?
