Jessica Chastain is one of today's greatest movie stars. From her breakout role in Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty to groundbreaking films such as Interstellar and The Martian, her performances are always powerful. We can't wait to see her as Lilandra in X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

But first, the Oscar-nominated actress will appear as the poker princess Molly Bloom in Aaron Sorkin's Molly's Game, alongside Idris Elba. And if the new trailer is anything to go by, then we perhaps are about to see Chastain's best performance yet. Watch it below:

Jessica Chastain And Aaron Sorkin Have The Winning Hand

Molly's Game is based on the autobiography of Molly Bloom, a young woman who in the early to late '00s hosted luxurious high-stakes poker games for celebrities and Hollywood personalities. Known for his exceptional skills as a writer (The Social Network, The West Wing and Steve Jobs, to name a few), the film will be Sorkin's directorial debut. And since he's worked closely with many of Hollywood's greatest directors like David Fincher and Danny Boyle, Sorkin will no doubt ace the game in Molly's Game.

What makes Molly's Game so interesting, besides Bloom's tremendous success, is that her clients included Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck, Alex Rodriguez and Tobey Maguire — and they caused great controversy at the time. It's unknown if any of these actors will be mentioned by name in the movie (or even appear as themselves), but one thing is for sure: Molly's Game will be one of this year's most talked about movies.

Molly's Game opens in theaters November 22.
