For all you fantasy and sci-fi fans out there, Entertainment Weekly reports that (best known for writing American Gods and Coraline) and (Star Trek) will be appearing at the Capetown Film Festival at the Egyptian Theater.

The festival starts on April 30th, with an unannounced opening night movie (which will be announced as a later date, as it is subtitled a "surprise screening").

On Sunday, May 5th there will be a special screening of Coraline at 1:00pm (after the 10am "minion matinee" of 2010's Despicable Me, where there will be a sneak peek of Despicable Me 2, due in theaters July 3rd). It will follow with a Q&A with Travis Knight and Mr. Gaiman himself.

The next day (Monday, May 6th) the festival will have a screening of 2009's Star Trek reboot at 7:30pm. Nimoy will be there for a Q&A. The full schedule for the film festival (in Hollywood) is available at Entertainment's Weekly. It includes anniversary screenings of 1983's Return of the Jedi, an advanced screening (Season 3 premiere) of Falling Skies, Escape from New York, Shaun of the Dead, and more!

Anyone in Capetown attending this awesome get together?
