's The Past is the movie for which actress won Best Actress at Cannes this year and Farhadi was awarded the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury.

Here we have the first official trailer for you and - as you'd expect - it's beautiful. The Past looks like it's full of amazing performances and could be as big a success as Farhad's A Separation which was, for me, the truest definition of a modern masterpiece. Check it out:

Following a four-year separation, Ahmad (Ali Mosaffa) returns to Paris from Tehran, upon his estranged French wife Marie (Bejo)'s request, in order to finalize their divorce procedure so she can marry her new boyfriend Samir (A Prophet's ). During his tense, brief stay, Ahmad discovers the conflicting nature of Marie's relationship with her teenage daughter Lucie (). Ahmad's efforts to improve this relationship soon unveil a secret from their past.

The Past arrives in theaters December 13, 2013.
