The fourth installment of our favourite world hidden behind the wardrobe is starting to get in motion today as a new writer for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair has just been announced.

, the screenwriter for Life of Pi and Finding Neverland, has been signed up to write the script for the next Narnia epic.

Following the first three Narnia films, which have grossed more than $1.5 billion worldwide, The Silver Chair is set in the mystical world of Narnia, created by C.S. Lewis.

David Magee's talents in adapting large scale fiction into captivating screenwriting has been acknowledged in his nomination for an academy award for Finding Neverland in 2004 and a best adapted screenplay nomination in 2012 for Life of Pi.
