When the news broke of rising star and having been cast as eternal lovers in Jim Jarmusch's Only Lovers Left Alive, it made such perfect sense that it was slightly shocking to learn the two had never previously acted together in a film. The two just seemed to fit together as naturally as you'd like, and the thought of them playing ethereal, immortal lovers never once seemed cheesy, due to the strength of the actors and opportunity to see the tired vampire genre redefined by the two.

As evidenced by this smile-worthy clip of the two lovers dancing along to Denise LaSalle's "Trapped By a Thing Called Love", fans and critics haven't been wrong to appreciate the casting of Hiddleston and Swinton. The two have an intense chemistry that's rare in film and magnetic when it happens.

As always with a film, music will feature heavily, and with Hiddleston's character, Adam, being a musician by trade, we can expect a fairly fantastic soundtrack. Only Lovers Left Alive will be released by Sony Pictures Classic early next year, though the exact details are yet to be determined.
