It seems like this hasn't been 's week. Earlier we announced that his upcoming film noir sequel Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For has been pushed back by almost a year, and today we've learned that his other fast-approaching action flick, Machete Kills has also been delayed.
Open Road has announced they're pushing Machete Kills back from September 13 to October 4. OK, so the delay isn't quite as severe as Sin City 2's, but it still might annoy anyone expecting to see the sequel to 2010's Machete in September.
Fans probably shouldn't worry too much though, this is most likely nothing more than a strategic move by the studio to give Machete Kills an extra box office push. However, October 4 does collide with the release of 's high anticipated sci-fi epic, Gravity. I know which one I'd rather see, but what about you?
Open Road also announced they'd be delaying the release of another of their projects, the penned Homefront. The action film starring was expected to debut on October 4th, but has now received a release date of November 27th.
Are you still excited to see Machete Kills in theaters, or have you already got tired of the franchise? Let me know what you think below.
