From Doctor Who to Sherlock, Luther to Top Gear, BBC America has a history of producing original and wildly entertaining genre shows.
Orphan Black is the first original scripted sci-fi series for the network and we've got the synopsis and a fascinating featurette for you guys to check out. First up, here's what it's all about:
Sarah is an outsider and orphan, whose life changes dramatically after witnessing the suicide of a woman, “Beth,” who looks just like her. Sarah takes her identity, her boyfriend, and her money. But instead of solving her problems, the street-smart chameleon is thrust headlong into a kaleidoscopic mystery. She makes the dizzying discovery that she and the dead woman are clones… but are they the only ones? Sarah quickly finds herself caught in the middle of a deadly conspiracy, racing to find answers.
Cue suspenseful music and a slowly creeping feeling of dread.

I'm a big fan of sci-fi thrillers, having grown up watching the excellent Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits, so I'm really looking forward to see what Orphan Black has in store for us.
Orphan Black premieres Saturday March 30th, 9/8C on BBC America.
Do you like what you see? Will you be tuning in for the premiere?
