The Old Gods and the New blessed us when it was announced that Tyrion Lannister himself, Peter Dinklage, was in talks to join Avengers: Infinity War. Of course, the internet was abuzz at the thought of Dinklage gracing the MCU with his presence, and rightfully so. The Game of Thrones is a fan favorite and much loved actor within the geek community, so the thought of him starring alongside the Avengers is enough to send fans into a frenzy.

Now, with Dinklage seemingly set to appear in the MCU, we must ask who on Earth he's playing. While we know nothing yet of his character, we can tell you that he is almost definitely not playing Bolivar Trask. It is highly doubtful that Marvel would bring over a prominent figure in the Fox #XMen film universe this soon, especially since Fox are starting to develop their own shared universe.
Let me offer up two suggestions on who Dinklage could, and should, be playing in the #MCU.
Dream Casting: M.O.D.O.K.
The Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing, M.O.D.O.K. for short, is a fan favorite villain from the #Marvel universe. M.O.D.O.K. was originally known as George Tarleton, a scientist who worked for A.I.M. before he was transformed into M.O.D.O.C. (Mechanised Organism Designed Only for Computing) so they could unearth the mysteries behind the Cosmic Cube as it required a knowledge and processing capacity much greater than the human brain. But Tarleton soon turned on his superiors and became M.O.D.O.K.
With A.I.M already established as a threat within the MCU thanks to Aldrich Killian in the #IronMan franchise, M.O.D.O.K. could be brought into the MCU without the need of much backstory. Although, considering this is Peter Dinklage we are talking about, Marvel wouldn't cast him unless he were playing a prominent role in the film. With that being said, I can't imagine M.O.D.O.K. being a central figure in Infinity War, unless he were only brought in for an opening action sequence much like Baron Von Strucker's appearance in Age of Ultron.
Likely Casting: Pip The Troll
The most likely candidate, Pip The Troll plays a role in the Infinity Gauntlet storyline as a friend of both Adam Warlock and Gamora. During the storyline he battles alongside the likes of Doctor Strange, Drax the Destroyer and Silver Surfer, and afterward becomes the safekeeper of the Space Gem. As Adam Warlock has not been introduced in the main film series as of yet, it's likely that Pip will encounter the Guardians of The Galaxy during the course of #AvengersInfinityWar through Gamora.

We already know, according to the reports, that Dinklage will have a prominent role that will span both Infinity War and the as-yet-untitled #Avengers4. With that being said, Pip The Troll certainly fits the bill. He has a presence both during and after the Infinity Gauntlet storyline, so you can be sure that if Pip were to appear in the MCU, he would have a major presence.
There is the off chance that his role is that of an original, made-for-film character, possibly a government agent or other such character. Whoever #PeterDinklage ends up playing, we can be sure that he will knock it out of the park. Bonus points if he can reference being a genius with a love of drink.
