Pompeii has scored itself a Mad Man, with signing up the historical disaster movie. The movie is being directed by Resident Evil overlord and stars Game of Thrones's as the male lead. According to The Hollywood Reporter the movie is set in 79 A.D. and follows Milo (Harington), "a slave-turned-invincible gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love Flavia (), a wealthy merchant's daughter who unwillingly has been betrothed to a corrupt Roman general." Harris has signed on to play Flavia's father, Lucretius.

Shooting on Pompeii is due to start in April, with the movie due to erupt (too soon?) into theaters some time in 2014.
