Really, is there anyone on earth who doesn't like ? I mean, honestly, is there any way a person could look at the affable actor and go, "That guy. F**k that guy," really? There is not. It's impossible.

Which is why it was smart of director to team up with Rudd for his upcoming project, Prince Avalanche. After two mediocre efforts with The Sitter and Your Highness after the smashing success of Pineapple Express, Green has finally returned to his roots with his latest.

It looks to have been a success, too, with the remake of Icelandic film Either Way becoming a hit at both Sundance and Berlin International Film Festival, taking home the Silver Bear for Best Director at the latter.

And look, we even have ourselves a trailer, too:

Would you like a synopsis? Of course you would:

An odd couple of sorts, meditative and stern Alvin (Rudd) and his girlfriend’s brother, Lance (Hirsch), dopey and insecure, leave the city behind to spend the summer in solitude repainting traffic lines down the center of a country highway ravaged by wildfire. As they sink into their job in the remarkable landscape, they learn more than they want to about each other and their own limitations. An unlikely friendship develops through humor and nasty exchanges, leading to surprising affection.

So basically what it's saying is that they Stockholm Syndrome each other into love and acceptance. Sounds like a plan. I'd see it. What about you?

Prince Avalanche is due out in theaters on August 9th. So if Rudd and Hirsch looking strangely at times like Mario and Luigi if they existed in Bizarro World is up your alley, click [[follow]] and we'll keep you updated.
