The dead could be about to rise again (well for one minute at least) as ABC's comedy noir Pushing Daisies could be about to get a movie adaptation... featuring zombies.

Show creator Bryan Fuller sat down with Den of Geek, to talk about a possible Pushing Daises movie and how Kickstarter could be the key to its success:

If we were able to pull off the Kickstarter, there’s a very fun zombie film that starts with a flash-flood in a cemetery and basically is about those denizens of that cemetery having to kill Ned before he can kill them, so it’s a different kind of zombie movie.

Sounds good to me. But as a zombie enthusiast, one question remains unasked: Fast zombies or slow zombies?

I think fast, I think because it’s the Pushing Daisies rules so Chuck is, you know, alive.

Hmm, I will ignore the breaking of zombie canon if it means we get to see more of Ned making pies and resurrecting the dead. Going down the Kickstarter route could also prove to be a wise decision; you only have to look at the staggering success of the Veronica Mars campaign and Zach Braff raising $2 million in a week for Wish I Was Here to see that fans are more than happy to stump up the cash if they are passionate about a project.
