While there is a lot of excitement for this November's DCEU superhero team-up Justice League, there are a few things that fans are a little wary about. One of those is whether fan-favorite character Cyborg (Ray Fisher) will live up to past iterations. Complaints about the character include a heavily CGI design and monotone line delivery in the trailers — especially worrying because, in the comics and cartoons, Cyborg is one of DC's most charismatic characters.

However, there is still hope that Justice League will give us a fantastic Cyborg, and that is due to Fisher's passion for the character.

Ever since Fisher's casting was announced, he has shown his excitement on social media. And in a new interview, he's spoken his character's signature catchphrase:

In the interview, Fisher also spoke about how his inspiration for Cyborg came from many of the early cartoons — especially the acclaimed show Teen Titans, in which Cyborg was a main character.

Teen Titans gave fans the most iconic version of the character, therefore making it the one that Fisher's performance will inevitably be measured against. It's a good sign that Fisher is basing his performance on the animated series, even if it hasn't quite shown in the Justice League trailers yet. That being said, we have only seen a few glimpses of Cyborg so far; it is entirely possible that there is much more than meets the eye with the character.

Not only that, but with director Joss Whedon taking over for Zack Snyder, there is a possibility that Whedon could have made some changes to the character that we haven't seen yet. If anything, as long as Cyborg is nothing like his character in Cartoon Network's current Teen Titans Go!, then he honestly won't be that bad.

Justice League opens in theaters on November 17, 2017.
