Remember when RDJ confirmed that he raked in a whopping $50 million for The Avengers? Yeah, well it looks like he's still rolling in it because, as it turns out, he's been offloading his surplus solid gold onto 5-year-olds.
According to Comicbook.com, gifted the crew for Iron Man 3 with blingin' solid gold Iron Man helmet heads, and kept one of the heads for himself.
But being that it is that RDJ is the most awesome man in America, possibly the world, he's gone and exceeded himself by making some 5-year-old fan's dream come true. When the little boy and his pops went to meet the Iron Man star, this happened:
Robert Downey, Jr. was very approachable and down to earth. Downey, Jr. signed his son's Iron Man 3 mask, but what happened next was even more surprising. Downey, Jr. gave this five year old fan a box that sort of looked like a box for a sleeve of golf balls. However, one of Robert Downey, Jr.'s bodyguards told the father that what was in the box was real so to be careful about his son playing with it. When the father looked at the box, it was marked "Stark Industries Jeweled Materials." Inside the box was a solid-gold and diamond Iron Man helmet head.
I have no idea what a solid gold limited edition RDJ-commissioned helmet head is worth, but I'm guessing it's wasted on a person who is only just out of potty training. Still, I can't wait to see what RDJ decides to craft out of his millions for the crew of The Avengers: Age Of Ultron... Taaffeite encrusted Ultron armor?
