Usually, when you're waiting for a deadly, vengeful Japanese girl to curse the heck outta ya, you only have to wait seven days. We've already waited for 11 years for another movie in The Ring sequence, but we'll have to wait even longer now: upcoming sequel Rings has been pushed back to February 3, 2017.
It's unclear what the reason is for this disappointing setback but, as the Germans say, ein Unglück kommt selten allein. As well as the Rings sting, the long-anticipated Friday the 13th reboot has been pushed back, too.
Paramount's Friday the 13th has now been shifted to October 13, 2017 (and yes, it's still a Friday).
