Sad times are coming to Pawnee as and will be leaving Parks and Recreation after the 13th episode of the show's sixth season. With characters Ann Perkins and Chris Traeger set for parenthood with a baby on the way, I guess it was only a matter of time for the NBC show to move on without them and into the next phase. But gee, does that suck...
Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, here's what executive producer Mike Schur had to say about the exits of our beloved mid-level bureaucrats:
We absolutely love both Rashida and Rob, and will be sad to see them go. Rashida was one of the very first people we knew we wanted in the cast, and as important as Ann is to Leslie (and vice-versa), she'll certainly never be far from Pawnee. Rob we initially thought we could only have for six or eight episodes, and we couldn't be happier that he will have stuck around for 75... They are wonderful, funny, committed actors, they've been a huge part of the Parks and Rec family, and we think we have a great Pawnee send-off in the works for them.
What the hell is Leslie () going to do without her beautiful, naive, sophisticated new-born baby of a friend? While it will not be an abrupt departure, as Lowe and Jones will be back this fall, isn't this just the worst news you've heard all day?
