The Congress is obviously visually arresting, but we'll find out Thursday if it's actually worth the hype. The idea of actors searching for a fountain of youth has been around for ages -- so much so that the concept itself should be rotting away. However, the digital aspect in the age of IMAX 3D and Avatar-style blockbusters reinvigorate the concept as something to watch.

Folman was up for the coveted Palme d'Or in 2008, but lost to The Class.
