At one point, the term 'Easter Egg' was synonymous with bunnies, Jesus and milk chocolate. These days, most of us equate the term with sneaky nuggets of nerdy goodness hidden deep inside our favorite movies, waiting to be uncovered by diehard fans. The MCU prides itself on having some of the sneakiest of all — there's even one fans are yet to find — but inevitably, they will be discovered by eagle-eyed fans such as this one, who clocked the same egg throughout all Russo-directed MCU movies.
While most of us are sitting around waiting for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Thor: Ragnarok and Spider-Man: Homecoming to all drop in 2017, one Redditor by the name of Doomheit has been looking back over the MCU movies directed by the Russo Brothers — and noticed the same Easter Egg that appears more than once.
The #MCU loves a helicopter, and in all Russo directed movies, they all have the same tail number — N78298 — that's pretty neat! Let's take a look:
This news helicopter in Captain America: Winter Soldier.
Fury's chopper in Winter Soldier.
Stark's 'copter in Civil War.

All of the helicopters are used by different people and are different makes, so the decision to give them all the same number was a conscious one. Now the hunt is on to find out what exactly those numbers mean — my bet is that one of the Russos are Mass Effect fans...?
Maybe not. The Russos are currently working on the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, and a further untitled Avengers movie — plus we still have Captain Marvel, Black Panther and Ant-Man and the Wasp to look forward to — so there will be plenty more Easter Eggs to discover! Let's see if that tail number pops up again in the future.
What do you think N78298 means? Let us know in the comments!
