Prepare yourselves for the end of an era, Glee fans...
At an event honoring FX networks, TVLine is reporting that Glee creator revealed that Season 6 will be the show's last. But writing an ending to the show won't be easy anymore, given that - who played the show's protagonist Finn - passed away unexpectedly 3 months ago.
Here's what he said:
The final year of the show, which will be next year, was designed around Rachel and Cory/Finn's story. I always knew that, I always knew how it would end. I knew what the last shot was – he was in it. I knew what the last line was – she said it to him. So when a tragedy like that happens you sort of have to pause and figure out what you want to do, so we're figuring that out now.
Murphy continued, revealing that he already knows what the new ending will be:
I have a good idea. I'm going to tell the studio and the network [in a week] how after Cory's unfortunate passing we can end the show that I think is very satisfactory. And kind of in his honor, which I love.
Murphy and the Glee team did such an amazing job with Cory's tribute episode that I have absolute faith that the series finale will be perfect. What about you?
