Fans got a taste of what #Deadpool-done justice looks like with his own movie this past February. Since then, we've been clamoring to see Ryan Reynold's irreverent Merc with a Mouth interact with Hugh Jackman's feral Wolverine in an epic anti-hero team-up. Those dreams seemed far-fetched however, with Hugh Jackman drawing back his claws after 2017's #Logan.
Fortunately, #RyanReynolds is as much of a geek as we are, and he's hellbent on having Jackman appear in a movie with him as their respective rapidly-healing, violence-loving characters. So much in fact, that he's currently trying to gather once again what helped Deadpool get off the ground after years in development hell: The internet's support.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Reynolds talked about his desire to see #Wolverine and Deadpool onscreen together and how far he's willing to go to achieve that:
“I want Deapdool and Wolverine in a movie together. What we’re gonna have to do is convince Hugh. If anything, I’m going to need to do what I can to get my internet friends back on board to help rally another cause down the line.”
While seeing the two antiheroes in the same movie would be an event of immense proportions, Reynolds made clear why he is so passionate to appear alongside Wolverine, specifically portrayed by #HughJackman:
“Hugh Jackman is one of the best human beings. Part of the reason I want to do a Deadpool/Wolverine movie is not just because I think the two would light the screen on fire but I genuinely love the guy.”
Fortunately, his feelings remain the same, even with Blake Lively cheating on him with Hugh. Brutal:
I can't disagree with that. I had the chance to meet Hugh at the X-Men Origins: Wolverine premiere and he is a genuinely nice guy. Even though seeing these two on the big screen at the same time would be a dream come true, Jackman could ultimately decide to not come back for the role, regardless of fans' requests. Last year, he revealed his reasons for leaving Wolverine behind after Logan:
"It just felt like it was the right time to do it. And let’s be honest, 17 years. I never thought in a million years it would last, so I’m so grateful to the fans for the opportunity of playing it. … I kind of have in my head what we’re going to do in this last one. It just feels like this is the perfect way to go out."
That is a very reasonable point. Still, Reynolds and Jackman are very good friends and have a sort of rivalry going on regarding their characters:
So it's not impossible for him to decide to come back to the role that kickstarted his career. Hopefully, if somehow the universe aligns in the perfect, way, I'd rather a Deadpool and Wolverine movie to have the same tone as Deadpool. The pair's distinct and clashing personalities would be a goldmine to exploit.

But because there's nothing even remotely concrete right now, we have to wait to see what happens. While you wait, take a look at the Logan trailer before the movie hits theaters on March 3, 2017:
What do you think about Ryan Reynolds gathering support for Hugh Jackman to continue his career as Wolverine? Would you be excited for a Logan/Deadpool team-up movie?
