Everyone loves movies featuring talking animals, right? They're cute, fluffy, funny and provide a whole shed load of good ol' fashioned family fun. Well, that might be true of Homeward Bound, but I have a feeling upcoming comedy horror, The Voices, is going to change things up a bit.

Although we've known about The Voices for sometime, there's been precious little news about it until now. Joblo has just reported that The Voices will debut at 2014's Sundance Festival and have provided our first look at Reynolds with his chatty pet companions. Check out the synopsis and picture below:

This genre-bending tale centers around Jerry Hickfang, a lovable but disturbed factory worker who yearns for attention from a woman in accounting. When their relationship takes a sudden, murderous turn, Jerry’s evil talking cat and benevolent talking dog lead him down a fantastical path where he ultimately finds salvation.

Yes, that is a severed head sitting on the coffee table.
