With rumors circulating about an appearance of a famous brother/sister duo, I sat waiting for something solid. And ’s word appears as solid as it is gonna get for the minute on all things The Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Joss Whedon dropped hints that a duo may appear in Avengers 2, on the Iron Man 3 red carpet, suggesting a brother and sister team may, being the optimum word, feature in the script. Fans, of course, jumped straight to Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. The children of Magneto, they first appeared as a part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, which appeared in X-Men Last Stand. But eventually chose to side with the Avengers. Whedon played with the press at the time, however he confirmed to IGN two days ago, that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch should feature in the films, and were they Brother and Sister act he was alluding to. He explained how

“[the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver] had a rough beginning.”

Continuing to say,

“they’re interesting to me because they sort of represent the part of the world that wouldn’t necessarily agree with The Avengers. So they’re not there to make things easier. I’m not putting any characters in the movie that will make things easier.”

With all these new characters being hinted as the Marvel world expands, it seems as though the Avengers and Marvel itself is getting pretty crowded, I hope this doesn’t affect the quality of the film.

I guess the next question will be, as it always is, casting. Who would you tip for the roles, with a few names already floating around? Please feel free to leave a comment.
