After starring in Marvel's The Avengers — a company owned by Disney — Scarlett Johansson is technically a Disney Princess already, right? Or a Disney kick-ass international spy, which is kinda cooler.

Anyway, ScarJo wants to up the ante and become a full-blown Disney Princess in the more traditional sense, which is something her and her 2-year-old daughter would love, telling The New York Times’ Turning Points:

"Right now I think we both share the dream that I will someday be a Disney princess, but it’s probably not going to happen. I’ve been asking for that job for the past 20 years, and nobody has booked me."

Scarlett is starring in another animated-to-live-action movie, Ghost in the Shell, so maybe this role gave her that extra push to make her dreams come true?

Whether Johansson is thinking about acting in a live-action Disney project (like the phenomenally hype-worthy Beauty and the Beast) or wants to lend her vocal talents to a new character a la Idina Menzel, she's excited to see what material Disney could have in store for her:

"When you see films from 50 years ago, the characters reflected what people wanted to project to the world, which was very black and white and guarded, or idealistic or whatever.

It’s not that way anymore. The films that have a better audience reaction now are the ones where the characters are flawed. And I think that’s why Joss Whedon has been so successful in that realm, because he loves the flaws, he celebrates them. He likes to pick apart their weaknesses."

Would you like to see Scarlett Johansson as a Disney princess?
