I have a theory that comedians often made some of the best dramatic actors. Think in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, (yes, even him) in Punch Drunk Love, and, potentially, in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. From the looks of the new Foxcatcher teaser trailer, it seems we can also add to that list.
The 40 Year Old Virgin and US Office funnyman looks positively unrecognizable in 's new real-life drama. He plays John du Pont, a multimillionaire schizophrenic paranoid wrestling coach who becomes intertwined in the relationship between two of his steads, brothers David () and Mark Schultz (). It's not long before things take a sinister turn. Check out the trailer below:
The film, which is based on a true story, was being tentatively included in this year's Oscar predictions, however it seems we will now be waiting until 2014 to see Foxcatcher in theaters. In an announcement made by Sony on the same day as the trailer's release, they state that the film being pushed back by a year. They explained:
SPC supports the decision of the filmmakers to allow for more time to finish the film.
The trailer certainly looked well-polished, but it seems there is still some extensive work to be done before Foxcatcher is ready for the public.
What do you think? Are you happy to wait an extra year to see this film? Let us know below.
