Just yesterday I wrote about how upset I was that a sequel to the amazing, fantastic Dredd seemed dead in Mega-City One. Now, Star Trek Into Darkness and Riddick (trailer out now!) star, the badass Judge himself, , is speaking out about these rumors. In short, he's giving this fanboy hope that we'll continue down Dredd's path of mayhem and destruction. In a new interview with Collider, Urban said this:

"Interestingly enough, I did have breakfast with Alex Garland this morning", Urban told the site. "It's not off the agenda".

He continued:

"Clearly everyone has woken up to the fact that an audience has found this movie and loves it. It’s entirely possible, and if people want to see another instalment then they should be vocal about that, because, it can happen. The power of fandom can resurrect projects. In fact, that’s what happened with Star Trek. They weren’t going to do a third season until fans did a letter writing campaign and they continued that series"

Yes! Dreams do come true.
