If we've learned anything over the past few years, it's that horror and fantasy reign supreme on our TVs. The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story are all dominating our lives. Which makes us even more excited about the prospect that and are bringing genre favorites Sin City and The Mist to the small screen.

The New York Times reported that Sin City, based on the movie and the Frank Miller graphic novel, will air shortly after the film's sequel, Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, is released in theaters. The Mist, on the other hand, will appear as a 10-episode miniseries, similar to another property, Under the Dome. Here's hoping that like that show, The Mist will get a second season. Likewise, - the man for responsible for the first season of The Walking Dead and the movie adaptation of The Mist - will also be working on the series.

We already knew that the Weinsteins were working on an adaptation of Scream for MTV, but this is even bigger, more exciting news. We still don't know what channels Sin City and The Mist will air on, but it's definitely an exciting prospect.
