This news was certainly unexpected. It turns out comedy writing duo and have been approached multiple times to pen the big screen adaptation of Naughty Dog's Uncharted game series.

Sony have been trying to create the movie, titled Uncharted, for some time, and it seems for at least 4 years they've been trying to grab the Superbad and This Is the End writers to take on the script. However, from the sounds of this IGN interview, they aren't too keen on the idea:

Personally, I'm not sure if an Uncharted movie really needs to exist. Isn't the game basically a movie already?

Anyway, although Sony seem keen to net these two comedy icons, I get the impression the feeling isn't reciprocated. They're not the first duo to be approached to bring Nathan Drake's adventures to life on the silver-screen. Last year we also heard suggestions National Tresure scribes Marianne and Cormac Wibberley were involved on the project. But with little in the way of progress or news, the Uncharted movie might be left teetering dramatically on the edge of a cliff.

What do you think? Do you want to see an Uncharted movie? And would you like Goldberg and Rogan to write it? Let us know below.
