Once again, we have another actor aiming to join the DCEU. Just a few days ago, Warner Bros. announced Justin Rhodes and David Goyer as the writers for the Green Lantern Corps film. Now, actor Sterling K. Brown just placed his name in for the role of John Stewart by posting this on his Twitter account:

This isn’t the first, second or even third time someone did their very own campaigning for a role in the DCEU. Just last year, André Gordon announced on his Instagram that he had just finished auditioning to be Stewart for . Then there was Mr. Robots, Steph Corneliussen taking a chance with Detective Comics by posting herself as a ginger with the caption: “Can I be your ?” The post sent fans into a frenzy, with many vying for her to get the role. Let’s not forget that Tyrese Gibson was the first to make sure his interest in the role was known. Now, there's going for the same thing.

Green Lantern Corps will definitely be driven heavily with sci-fi. The character is a member of the galactic team. He's talented in many things, including being the first with the willpower to exceed even the ring's capabilities after he tries to conjure an entire solar system from scratch. He has also served in the military forces of the United States Marine Corps and is an expert sniper. Even went on to say he's the best flyer in the Corps, so Brown would need to show how committed his is, because the character is certainly no joke.

Is Brown Prepped For The Role?

Now, if Brown wants to be a part of the growing family within the , he would need to fit the bill. So, first things first, he now holds a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his role as Christopher Darden in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. We know how much . loves obtaining actors with accolades, so this is certainly a major plus for him. What about his physical capabilities? He would need to be able to endure the amount of action that's to come from the franchise. We've seen the physique of the current line of actors and the continuous exercise they've managed to keep up, so this has to be a necessity.

We all know there's a Justice League film coming and before that, a Wonder Woman solo, which means he'd need to be in top shape. He more than likely won't be in the team-up film, which is great because it'll grant him enough time to prepare for the role. He's no stranger to action, having the CW show Nikita under his belt, as well as the popular series Supernatural. So, does he fit the bill yet? I'm starting to think so.

The Green Lantern Corps enters on July 24, 2020.

Do you think Sterling K. Brown would bring light to the role?
