It's been more than 15 years since the troublesome highway troopers from Vermont graced our screens with their crazy pranks on unsuspecting motorists in Super Troopers, and fans have been begging for the return of the gang. After nearly a decade of development, self-funding and production, we finally have a first look at the upcoming sequel, Super Troopers 2.
The new #SuperTroopers sequel teaser doesn't offer much in the way of plot, but one thing's for sure: the boys are back and ready for more action and more nonsense. In the minute-long teaser, we see Mac (Steve Lemme), Thorny (Jay Chandrasekhar), Foster (Paul Soter) and Farva (Kevin Heffernan) handcuffing Rabbit (Eric Stolhanske) to a bench in the locker room with the threat of shaving his nether-regions, despite him no longer being a rookie. Watch it below:
Seeing the actors returning to their former characters with ease is surely a delight for fans eager for the return of the wily gang. The teaser also show the return of Captain O'Hagen (Brian Cox), and Jim Gaffigan reprising his cameo role from the original film. The film will also see Marisa Coughlan and Lynda Carter reprising their roles from the first film, as well as newcomers Emmanuel Chriqui and Rob Lowe.
The sequel follows the troopers as they're tasked with operating a Highway Patrol station in an area being disputed by the U.S. and Canada. The long-awaited film will hit theaters on the all-too-appropriate April 20 (or 4/20 for the more elevated fans).
