More interesting tidbits leaking out of Disney's D23 expo. /Film is reporting that DisneyToon Studios has announced a new animated film entitled The Pirate Fairy. The movie is said to be a Tinkerbell spin-off that will also give us a glimpse into the early exploits of one of Disney's most iconic villains. will voice the film's main character Zarina, described as a “red-haired bad-ass fairy" and a rather recognizable Marvel actor will play her love interest. That's right, The Avengers' Tom Hiddleston will voice young Captain Hook in Disney's The Pirate Fairy.

Though I think the title is a little awkward, I'm 100% on board with the idea of Hiddleston lending his voice to a young Captain James Hook. He's already proven to be a phenomenal villain in live-action fare, and he has a tremendous voice for animation. It's not clear at this juncture how, if at all, Peter Pan will fit into the picture, but I'm really interested in this project. Besides, Christina Hendricks is herself a bad-ass redhead so her casting seems similarly apt.

What do you guys think?
