Universal didn’t think twice after The Best Man Holiday made its debut with a whopping $30 million, and entered into talks with writer, director and producer about another installment of the ensemble rom-com franchise, Deadline reports.

It’s a somewhat ironic development as the sequel to The Best Man took about 14 years to get made. But considering that The Best Man Holiday made double the amount of what it cost ($ 17 million) on the first weekend apparently speeded things up this time.

No word yet if the cast will return. My guess: They'll return, handsomely paid.
