Lately, it's starting to feel like Pixar's short films are the best part of the company's output, especially after La Luna blew all of our collective minds.

Soon, we're getting another short Pixar movie, called The Blue Umbrella, in which a blue umbrella falls in love with a red umbrella in the middle of a singing rain. It sounds goofy — but the first clip is brilliant:

Looks like it's going to be mighty cute, and visually stunning.

The Pixar shorts have always been dependable as sources of light entertainment that don't skimp on adorableness, and the newest bite-sized feature from the animation house is no different.

The Blue Umbrella will play in front of Monsters University, which opens June 21.
