Okay, I know we've reported this about a million times, but it appears that the revolving door that has been the casting process for the long-anticipated remake of The Crow has finally found its lead. That's just how things roll in Hollywood, especially when it's such an iconic role and big undertaking.

You ready for it?

Welsh actor .

Way back in the day, before , before , before and and , there was Evans. Deadline reports he was the original choice all along, but with a film career that is heating up, with previous commitments to No One Lives, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Fast & Furious 6, and Dracula Untold, the actor's plate was understandably too full to take on another project.

Apparently, Relativity Media wanted Evans for the role so badly that they decided to push the start date to early next year to accommodate his busy schedule.

This is going to be an incredibly difficult role to pull off, but Evans has already shown with his past and current choices that is both comfortable and skilled playing characters with a definite edge to them, some darkness.

What do you think? Do you love this casting? Hate it? Let us know.

No release date yet, obviously, but filming will now start in early 2014. [[follow]] and we'll keep you up to date on everything. [[poll]]
