Magnolia Pictures has snatched itself the U.S. distribution rights to ’s The Double.

The psychological thriller debuted at the Toronto Film Festival 2013 to generally enthusiastic critical response. A tiny sample: Matt Goldberg, writing for Collider, described the film as "a dizzying, beguiling work of cinema."

The Double stars (The Social Network) as the wallflower-y Simon who gets overlooked at work and ignored by his dream girl (). When a co-worker, who is Simon’s exact doppelganger (also played by Eisenberg), arrives at his workplace his world is turned upside down.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Magnolia will distribute The Double some time in 2014 after screening it on a couple of domestic festivals.
