The Flash went on a brief hiatus, but it came back with an epic two-part crossover episode featuring one of the Flash's deadliest foes: Gorilla Grodd. Last year, we saw Barry, Cisco, and Harrison Wells travel to Central City on Earth-2 in one of the brightest highlights of the season. Season 3 has raised the (monkey) bar as Barry and Team Flash traveled to a new location — and possibly the deadliest — on Earth-2: Gorilla City.
There was an abundance of amazing moments in the two-part episode, so let's look at the best of the best that made us go bananas.
10. Jesse Quick Returns To Earth-1
The beginning of the episode showed Jesse Quick explaining that her father, Harrison Wells, was captured by Gorilla Grodd in Gorilla City — one of the deadliest places on Earth-2 inhabited by super intelligent, telepathic gorillas. While some members of Team Flash are unsure at first, Barry is destined to save Harrison from Gorilla City with the help of Cisco, Caitlin, and Julian. The explanation was quick and to the point without over exaggerating the situation but at the same time, it was easy for casual viewers to comprehend.
9. Team Flash Gets Captured
"Attack on Gorilla City" didn't have many set pieces and the "jungle" was clearly just a regular forest, but the set piece for the gorilla prison was very well done and it elevated the cool moment where Team Flash know their in big trouble. We re-united with Harrison Wells, the Grodd telepathic moments were pretty interesting, and seeing Gorilla Grodd and Solovar's introduction was chilling.
8. Jesse Officially Stays On Earth-1 With Wally
The setup for Wally and Jesse's relationship was definitely rushed, but now that they're an actual "thing," the storyline has become a lot stronger. Jesse wants to move to Earth-1 with Wally and they were afraid that Harry was going to decline the offer. The best moment was when they first made Jesse's dad aware of the situation and how awkward it felt, just like a father-daughter situation in real life.
7. Gorilla Grodd Tricks Team Flash
Gorilla Grodd becomes more intelligent every time Barry goes against him, and this time was no exception. He was always one step ahead of the Flash and he tricked them to help kill Solovar because he has made his life in Gorilla City miserable. In the end, this was all one big scheme of Grodd's as his ultimate goal was to destroy the Flash and Central City entirely. Not only was Grodd ahead of the Flash but he was ahead of the audience trying to predict the telepathic gorilla's next move.
6. Cisco And Gypsy Finally Kiss
Usually the weakest parts of The Flash or any of the Flarrowverse shows is the soapy romance along with the bad acting — it's a plate crafted for disaster. However, Cisco and Gypsy's relationship is not only watchable but pretty entertaining. The two characters are building up quite the chemistry, therefore when Gypsy kissed Cisco in the very passionate way she did, we all went bonkers. Like she said, a relationship between the two probably wouldn't work out, but we all hope it does.
5. Barry Vs. Solovar Fight To The Death
It was extremely short and the Flash only used three moves on Solovar, but this was still the greatest moment from the first episode of the crossover. Solovar is such a better fighter than Grodd and Barry had no idea what he was walking into when Solovar pinned him to the ground. Then, Barry tried to run around the stadium but then Solovar pulled a Mario and did a ground pound, which caught Barry off-balance.
On his third time, Barry pulled a Reverse-Flash and knocked Solovar down. This was a great moment, besides the fact when Barry was giving his speech to the gorillas and the green screen was so visible and the chroma key on the Flash looked extremely bad.
4. The Speedsters Vs. Grodd's Gorilla Army
My main problem with these episodes that everything was way too short. However, they were short but sweet and entertaining. The fight against Grodd and his army of gorillas only lasted for a few minutes, but it was still awesome nonetheless. Wally and Jesse took down the army while Barry had to fight the intelligent Grodd. This was what we were waiting to see and while it didn't completely live up to expectations, it was pretty cool.

3. Barry Proposes To Iris
This was probably the bigget shocker of the entire crossover: Barry proposed to Iris and now they are engaged (most likely). Almost no one expected to see Barry and Iris to get married on the show until the far future or at the very end of the show. Now that they are engaged, this makes me believe that Iris will actually die at the end of the season. This would be a great surprise for the show as it would totally shake up the dynamic. However, I'm probably wrong and The Flash will pull their punches.
2. Savitar Returns...?
At the end of the episode, we see Wally running to go retrieve some Big Belly Burger for his girlfriend, Jesse, when he sees the ruthless Savitar appear — and he is totally stunned. Savitar isn't actually back, but he is inside Wally's head. Wally will be an important aspect of Savitar's escape from the Speed Force and back to Earth-1. By the end of episode, we should expect Savitar to find some trippy way to return to defeat the Flash.
1. Solovar Teams Up With Team Flash
The best moment from the entire episode had to be when Solovar beat the crap out of Gorilla Grodd in the most epic fashion possible. The video posted below explains it all:
