The Flash's third season was its most divisive yet. After a long, heart-wrenching battle with the God of Speed known as Savitar, Barry Allen and Team Flash finally managed to overcome all odds and rid themselves of the terrifying speedster once and for all.
But after the Flash made the ultimate sacrifice to save Central City, the shocking Season 3 finale left us with more questions than answers — and brought the future of the show into question. After that jaw-dropping ending, we wondered: how are we supposed to wait until October for the show's return?
But thanks to San Diego Comic-Con, we don't have to wait that long. The cast and crew of The Flash gathered at #SDCC2017, where they unveiled a brand new trailer for Season 4. Check it out below:
As expected, Team Flash will stop at nothing to bring Barry Allen back. But what's also interesting is that Caitlin has become a sort of Killer Frost/Caitlin Snow hybrid, while Kid Flash and Vibe try to keep Central City safe.
It will also be interesting to see how the show initially copes without its lead (before eventually reintroducing him). Moreover, with the likes of DeVoe and Elongated Man on the way, it looks like things are going to get a whole lot crazier in Central City. And if this trailer is anything to go by, that is most definitely a great thing.
The Flash will return to The CW on Tuesday October 10, 2017.
