Susan Cooper. Remember the name, because she could soon be giving James Bond a run for his money in the super-spy stakes. (The Heat) is moving forward with Spy, a female spy comedy that he's written and is now looking to cast. According to The Wrap, the movie will be "a realistic comedy about a female James Bond, rather than a parody along the lines of Get Smart or Johnny English.," which if a success, could be developed into a franchise for Twentieth Century Fox.

I think that Feig is a very talented comedy writer/director, and is especially good at portraying well-rounded, independent and very funny female characters, as anybody who's seen Nurse Jackie and Bridesmaids will know. In the past he's lamented the lack of female led projects in Hollywood, so I'm intrigued to see what he brings to the table with Susan Cooper.
