The Killing refuses to lay down and die. Despite the first three seasons of the show being watched by approximately 17 people, Netflix has picked it up for a fourth and final season.

Deadline reports that after the drama was canceled by AMC last year, Netflix swooped in and ordered a final 6 episode run. The streaming service owns the digital rights to the first three seasons so I guess it makes sense for them to give the much-maligned show one final hurrah.

The Killing regulars and are under long-term contracts and are expected to return, while creator/executive producer is currently assembling a writing team begin work on the script.

Will the The Killing Season 4 be worth the wait?
