It’s been eight years since the final episode of The L Word aired. The lasting impact of Showtime’s sensational queer drama has made fans desperate for a reboot or reunion, and the cast and crew have teased that there might be something in our future.

The show's co-creator Ilene Chaiken tagged most of the L Word cast in this extremely cryptic tweet:

This led notable cast members Jennifer Beals, Kate Moennig and Sarah Shahi to respond, sending our anticipation sky high. Moenning has already shot down rumors of a reboot, seemingly preferring the word "reunion":

"As far as I know, it's not a reboot. For reunion inquiries, direct that to @showtime."

With this information, it's tough to determine exactly what's happening here, but it's very clear that there's something in-store for us. The L Word made its debut in 2004 and remains unforgettable to this day, especially for its groundbreaking representation of women. It would be remarkable to celebrate what made this show special all over again.
